In 1860, an African slave named Abram (Rod Williams) is escaping from a plantation with a young girl named Malinda (Helena Girvan). While others see it as a kidnap of the master's daughter, Abram knows the truth about it being his own as well as the master's wife. After resting in a barn for the night, the next morning does not come with a pleasant surprise.
