Lights of India

Lights of India (2012)

'Lights of India' is a Journey Through India and Its World of Gods. You see inspiring places like the Jain Temple in Mumbai, the Shiva Sculptures on Elephant's Island, the Ganga Ceremony in Varanasi, the Kali Temple in Kolkata, Krishna's Birthplace in Mathura, and the historic Battlefield of the Bhagavadgita in Kurukshetra.nnBesides, you can also see places of Mahatma Gandhi, India's Father of the Nation. We take a look at Mani Bhavan, Gandhi's home during his stay in Mumbai, and we visit the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial 'Rajghat' in Delhi.nnA note from Holger Klussmann: In February 2010, I traveled from Germany to India and I saw many interesting and inspiring places. I felt like to show my impressions to other people. Especially, I do admire the relationship of Indians to their religion. You can feel that this people has a millennia-old high culture. For me, India seems to be a living fairy tale, every mystic aspect in the holy scriptures may be found in the daily life.nnI made all shots of 'Lights of India' by myself, I like to be the camera operator as well as the editor and the director.
