A Tamil rebel soldier is rehabilitated and comes back home with great hopes of finding work, getting back his lover and getting back to normalcy. The village has turned against him because he had recruited many as rebels and they all were killed except for himself. He finds his lover had been forced into a marriage to an older man to escape being recruited into the force. He becomes a security guard for a smuggler, while forming a strange bond with the wife of the previous security guard.
