Two teenage sisters, Ronnie and Rita, live with their depressed mum and a vague recollection of a once better family life. Music and memories help them survive until Ronnie decides she has had enough and is moving out. Rita tries everything she can do to make her stay, but fails. Now she has to grow up without giving up, realising life isn't black and white.
