The Dansaq was the first symbolic rebel the Quechua's created back in the XVI Century to fight against an invading superpower. It was the one that was able to defeat the oppressor's ideology (Christianity) through a ritual involving dances, tests of pain endurance and physical strength. The tradition continues up to today in the high Andes.
